A Period of Quiescence (I)

Created as part of the “Art of Letters: Symbiosis III” exhibition, this work marks the beginning of Natalia’s calligraphic series, where image and letterform begin to intertwine. A rose gradually emerges as the surrounding ice softens, suggesting a quiet process of becoming rather than a sudden change. The piece reflects a time before she stepped fully into her identity as an artist, when much of what mattered was taking shape beneath the surface, unseen and not yet fully understood. It speaks to a period of inner cultivation, where she was building emotional strength and beginning to write the narrative of her life.
