Drawing on an ancient Roman fresco, the work reimagines two horses beyond the confines of their original form, where what was once fixed begins to loosen and give way. There’s a sense that something restrained is being gently undone, as if the act of painting itself has broken through their stillness, allowing them to exist with a new kind of openness.
